Dental Surgeon

I'm Aleks. I qualified with a Bachelors Degree in Dental Surgery from the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry. Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry is a Medical and Dental school in Plymouth, run in partnership with the University of Exeter, the University of Plymouth and the NHS in Devon and Cornwall. Plymouth Dental School was established on 26 January 2006 following a successful bid to the Government, as part of a national expansion of dental student numbers in the UK. It is the newest dental school for more than three decades to be established in the UK. I enjoy providing the highest quality of evidence based dental care in a friendly and relaxed environment. My philosophy of dentistry is based on prevention and conservation of tooth tissue and I always work with magnification loupes to ensure maximum preservation of healthy tooth structure. My special interest is cosmetic white fillings and this has earned me numerous awards in my career as a Dentist so far. I spend much of my free time studying to ensure that my treatments are always in line with evidence-based best practice. I am very quiet in nature, but sympathetic and conscientious in my work. Dentistry is my passion. I have a great appetite for learning and patient care is very important to me. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, I am married and have two girls and a baby boy. I also love sailing and have sailed extensively in the Baltic Sea. I also like to windsurf, mountaineer and travel.
